The Pittsburgh Pirates ended the 2047 campaign much like they ended
the 2046, 2045, 2044, and 2044 seasons, however there is now light at the end of the tunnel. One prominent prospect has already
reached the major league level in Lem Weaver and over the next year there should be many new additions to the team. Josh Connor,
Connie Collins, Andrew McCutchen, Pat Pena, and several others could receive plenty of playing time in 2048. Don’t look
now, but the Pirates are climbing the Power Rankings. 12/18/2047

So
the Pittsburgh Pirates have had a dismal 2044 campaign. They currently have the worst record in Major League Baseball. Their
record currently stands at 20-68. There have been very few bright spots over the course of the season. We would like to recognize
the accomplishment of several individuals however. Homer Gibson, a 23 year old rookie, has managed to post a 2.93 ERA over
the course of 104 innings. John Frascatore has posted a 2.70 ERA in 50 innings out of the bullpen. Walt Corcoran has posted
a 3.57 ERA as a starting pitcher over the course of 106 Innings. Jerry Ramsey batted .291 while swiping 36 bases.
- Over the offseason the Pirates were able to acquire
several talented prospects via the 2044 MLB Draft. The Pirates had the 1st, 3rd, 13th, 16th, and 21st overall picks in the
draft. With the picks they drafted Dave Lombardi with the first overall pick in the draft. Dave is a very talented indidual
who will develope into one of the top starting pitchers in the league. With the second overal pick the Pirates selected
Woody Phillips. The Pirates alos expect alot of of Phillips, he is projected to be the teams second starter. 4/27/2009
- After dissapointing Season the Pirates have officially
decided to rebuild. It was determined that it was the only way to keep up with the CHC and CIN. The rebuilding process has
already stated, players such as Cobain, Cabrera, Callahan, and Blackburn have all been delt and alot of new blood has been
acquired via Free Agency. Jose See from TOR was the team best offseason acquisition. The organizations top prospects
now are Jose See, Oliver Gumbert, Bob Woodard, and Joe Dorion. The Pirates will have several picks in the 2043 process to
acquire more talented players. Over the course of the season the team will see many of the teams stars depart.
- The Pirates acquired Del Berry from Atlanta in exchange
for OAK #1 pick in the upcoming draft. The Pirates need to fill the shoes of Miguel Cabrera who was placed in the IR ealier
this week.
- Pirates Miguel Cabrera went down with a leg injury
on a ground ball out, doctors later confirmed that Cabrera is out for the season. If Pittsburgh makes the playoffs there may
be a chance he could play in the World Series but it is doubtfull.
- Pirates trade Allen Bailey, PIT #1 FOR THE 2042 draft,
and Jason Kendall Jr for TEX #1 in the 2042 draft. The Pirates and Rangers worked out two previous deal but both were
rejected by the league. 10/3/08

an offer but his doesn't contain any incentives and no ML clause. Gonzalez will fill the void left behind by trading Johny
Cash away earlier this offseason. 9/25/09
